A lot of housing stock in Flint and Genesee County was built between 1920 and 1960, so we pay extra attention to knob-and-tube wiring, galvanized and lead supply plumbing, aging boilers and gravity furnaces, roof age and ice-dam damage, basement moisture and foundation cracks, and the condition of original windows. Yes. Sewer scope inspection is strongly recommended on any home built before 1985 or with mature trees on the lot — clay and Orangeburg lines in the Flint area are prone to root intrusion and collapse. We also offer lab-certified water quality testing for bacteria, lead, arsenic, and nitrates, which is critical on well water and in older neighborhoods with original supply plumbing.
